1. Overview
BrassRivets.com is an educational website. The first production version does not provide user accounts, comments, checkout, or a site database. It does not ask visitors to submit payment information.
2. Analytics and cookies
BrassRivets.com uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site use and outbound merchant-link activity. Google may process standard page-view, technical, device, referrer, and network-derived data under its own policies. Newsletter form fields are not intentionally sent to analytics.
You can use browser privacy controls, cookie controls, or content blockers to limit analytics. We do not sell personal information or use the site to process payment information.
3. Newsletter and contact information
If you join the newsletter, we store your email address, subscription status, consent version, source, and subscription timestamp in a restricted Google Cloud Firestore database so we can maintain the list. The form requires affirmative consent and includes a bot-prevention field. We do not sell or rent this information.
Newsletter sending and unsubscribe tooling will be connected through a dedicated email provider before campaigns are sent. Until then, a signup records your request to receive newsletter communications; it does not create an account or initiate a purchase. You may request removal by contacting us.
The separate contact form currently validates fields without storing or sending them.
4. Hosting and technical logs
The application does not log contact-form field content. Its hosting and network providers may generate ordinary request, error, security, and operational logs that can include timestamps, requested paths, response status, user agent, and IP-related information. Those provider-controlled logs are governed by the provider’s settings and policies.
5. Outbound merchant links
Merchant links lead to third-party sites. Those sites receive the normal information sent when a browser opens an external link and apply their own privacy, cookie, account, and checkout policies. BrassRivets.com does not control those practices.

6. Your choices
- You may browse the guides without creating an account.
- You may decline to use the validation-only contact form.
- You may use browser privacy controls, content blockers, or network settings to limit third-party analytics if analytics is later enabled.
- You may choose not to open merchant links.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may change when the site adds analytics consent controls, contact delivery, affiliated links, or another data-handling feature. Material changes should be published before the new handling begins where practical.
Questions or correction requests can be submitted through the contact page. Until delivery is configured, the form validates but does not transmit or store the message.
